Coleen Curry has exhibited internationally and her work is held in many private collections. She studied at the American Academy of Bookbinding (AAB) with Monique Lallier and graduated in 2009 with a diploma in fine binding. Coleen has won international bookbinding prizes and her work has been exhibited around the globe.

Shaking things up a little, in 2018 they are pleased to introduce the Altered Book Award, celebrating a recent focus area of the Mackay Regional Council Art Collection
A day exploring the endless possibilities of concertina books and gelatine printing.

Participants will be guided through a number of techniques to create concertina books:
- Making a gelatine printing plate
- Printing processes with a gelatine plate
- Combining prints into a concertina
- Covering boards for concertina covers
- Putting it all together to take home
