Be guided through techniques to create a sewn boards book with decorative covers, that opens flat. You will be taught to use a variety of tools, and the basics of binding. This technique is popular because of its perfect opening and ease in which it can be constructed. Binders dress it up or down with a variety of spine treatments, board covering materials and edge decoration techniques.
What you will learn can be applied to many binding styles for artist books and contemporary fine bindings.
